Programme of Performer Stammtisch on May 18th

Carola Lehmann [DE] - Wo ein Wille ist (live performance and video) / Tone Avenstroup [NO / DE] - Spießfragmente
"Until 1997 I tried to find out how the female body is represented in images. Also, I was investigating the meaning of women defining themselves as "female" throughout clothing and make-up. Men as well mark their bodies, but here only moustache and polo-neck sweaters are used. What happened to my motivation of gaining knowledge? How came I read less and less books, and practised cross-dressing in Muslim countries instead? Wo ein Wille ist traces back the questions and new thoughts of my former performance actions."

In connection Tone Avenstroup shows her work Spießfragmente on two sound tracks together with a pomegranat. Two speakers serve loops of Spießfragmenten, while statements on exclusion are repeated.

Dovrat Ana Meron [ISR/DE] - The nature of a red dot (live performance)
The nature of a red dot is a site-specific performance that Meron developed for existing exhibition spaces such as museums or galleries. It refers to the convention of marking a piece of art that is sold in art exhibitions, galleries and art fairs. The text she uses relates to the inter-relation between live performance, documentation, art as a product to buy, originality, limited editions, reproductions, repetitions and artistic thievery.

Dana Sederowsky [SE] - Special Announcements (video performance)
Dana Sederowsky works with video performance. As an artist she works solely with herself and her own body. It is her determined choice to be autonomous and solitary. Nothing in her work is accidental. It is calculated and strictly directed. Sederowsky investigates language through linguistic exercises, speech-acts and phonological experiments, focusing on the process of using speech and on how words are delivered directly in the face of the viewer. She investigates language not simply as a means of communication but also as a poetic and formal device. Sederowsky will be showing parts of the ongoing project Special Announcements, which started in 2006 and has been part of several exhibitions and screenings in galleries and festivals across Europe.
